QCAI (provided by Queen City AI, "we", "us", or "our") is an intelligent
community assistant application serving residents of
Charlotte, North Carolina. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe environment
for all our users.
2. Data Collection & Usage
To provide our community services, we collect the following information:
Authentication Data: User IDs (usernames/emails) are collected to secure your
account and link your posts in the Marketplace, Rentals, and Events sections.
Location Information: We use your map location to provide localized content (such
as nearby rentals or events). This data is used for application functionality and is not used for
tracking.
3. User-Generated Content (UGC) Policy
QCAI allows users to post rental listings, marketplace items, and events. Our commitment to safety
includes:
Moderation: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal,
discriminatory, or offensive content.
Enforcement: All reported content is reviewed and, if found in violation, will
be removed within 24 hours.
Safety Tools: Users have access to in-app reporting and blocking features for
every post or profile.
4. AI Smart Assistant & Context OS
QCAI includes an AI-powered Context OS that uses your local environment and device state to provide intelligent automation. QCAI operates on a self-hosted architecture using the OpenClaw platform, meaning your data never touches our corporate servers.
4a. What data is collected
Your queries and chat messages.
Photos you attach for analysis (e.g., DIY help or Marketplace listings).
Ambient Context: Background location, motion state, and calendar/reminders for proactive AI awareness, if you grant permission.
4b. Your Personal OpenClaw Gateway
All AI requests and context data are transmitted exclusively to your personally configured OpenClaw Gateway (either hosted on your local network or a custom domain).
QCAI (the app developers) do not intercept, collect, or store any of your AI queries or context data.
Your OpenClaw Gateway acts as an intermediary, and may be configured by you to connect to third-party providers (like OpenAI or Google). You control your Gateway's privacy agreements directly with those providers.
4c. What is NOT shared by the app
Your QCAI account password.
Your browsing history.
Your financial or payment information.
We do not sell any AI interaction data or context telemetry to advertisers.
5. User Consent & AI Opt-Out
Before you use AI-powered features for the first time, the app will display a consent screen explaining
what data is shared and with whom. You must actively agree before any data is sent to third-party AI
providers.
To grant consent: Tap "I Agree" on the AI consent screen when prompted.
To withdraw consent: Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy → Revoke AI
Consent. AI chat features will be disabled until you re-enable consent. All other app
features remain available.
6. Data Rights
You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal information. You can
manage your profile settings within the app or contact our support team for assistance with data
removal.
